Let’s visit the beautiful country Oman


This vacation I am planning to visit the beautiful country Oman with Family. There are very beautiful places to visit in Oman. And lots of adventurous sports. So I think it will be a great place visit for both kids and elders. So here I am hoping for the best ever vacation trip this will be. 

Here I search many useful and important information about Oman. I want to share with you because if anyone of you planning a trip to Oman then this information will be very useful for you.
  • The official name of Oman is Sultanate of Oman. 
  • Oman's history tells stories of heroism, courage, wisdom, patriotism, affection and commitment to country. This brings us closer to comprehension the extravagance of the Omani social experience which has helped the building of modern Oman.
  • Currency of Oman is OMANI RIALS. 1 US $ is equals to 0,384 O.R and 1 Euro is equals to 0,597 O.R
  • Total Population is 2,694,094 including 742,994 expatriates (27.6%) and 1,951,100 Omanis ( 72.4% ) as per preliminary results of the General Census 2010 data.
  • Total Surface area is 309,500 Km 2.
  • Neighboring Countries of Oman are Yemen Arab Republic, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
  • ARABIC is the native Language of the country. And Islam is National Religion.

Main Cities of Oman to visit is Muskat, Nizwa, Izwa, Sur, Salalah, Sohar.

Nizwa :- Nizwa was the capital of Oman in the 6th and 7th century, and is known as one of the first cities in Oman to convert to Islam. Nazwa city is famous for its history, culture, origins and heritage that abound in its customs, traditions, crafts, and the traditional industries and handicrafts our forefathers have known and excelled in as a means of livelihood.

Salalah :- The Largest city in Southern Oman Salalah, better known as the perfume city of Arabia, is the capital of Dhofar region. Salalah is Famous for its beautiful valleys during the Monsoon.

Muscat :- Muscat became the capital of an independent Oman in 1741,when the present dynasty assumed power. Muscat's picturesque old buildings co-exist with modern commercial and residential quarters giving the city an ambiance of its own.

Sur :- The city of Sur is one of the ancient Omani cities. Sur Port is amongst the oldest ports, where more than one hundred and fifty sailing vessels docked daily during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries
Jabal Shams :- It is a mountain in the Hajar range and the highest point in Oman at 10,000 feet / 3,050 meters. Rather appropriately, Jabal Shams translates to "mountain of the sun" and the peak is frequently doused in sunlight and rich blue skies.

 Sohar :- Sohar is the largest city in the country of Oman and was at one point an important Islamic port in the region. This region is popular for tourists because it is home to clean beaches and other interesting archeological sights.

The list is very large. Oman's different landscape of mountains, deserts and seascapes, are an open air devotee's blessing from heaven. From diving to photography to rock climbing to ice skating. Oman offers a variety of activities to suit the taste of any traveler.
